ABOUT US:

The Sheffield Fans Derby was originally a one off game in early 2008 to support the charity Sport Relief.

It was played between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday fans, hence the name "Sheffield Fans Derby". The players are sponsored to play the 90 minute game and this money then goes to the chosen charity. It proved so successfull it has developed into a twice a year event.

Each game supports a different charity. So far it has raised vital cash for Sport Relief 2008, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, Cavendish Cancer Care, Help For Heroes, Sheffield Cystic Fibrosis Appeal, St Lukes Amy's Retreat and preparing for the next event in May, supporting SHC South Yorkshire Heart Appeal.
