History

The Sheffield Fans Derby was set up in April 2008 in aid of Sport Relief for its debut event. The game is played between the Sheffield United Fans and the Sheffield Wednesday Fans in aid of a chosen charity, the players go out and get sponsored to play in the game which is played to the official FA rules.. The event was such a success in its first game that a second game was set up in September 2008 which was held in aid of Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

Saturday 16th May 2009 - Sheffield United Fans 3-2 Sheffield Wednesday Fans - Charity was Cavendish Cancer Care.

Friday 30th October 2009 - Sheffield Wednesday Fans 1-2 Sheffield United Fans - Charity was Help For Heroes.

Saturday 17th April 2010 - Sheffield United Fans 6-0 Sheffield Wednesday Fans - Charity was Sheffield Cystic Fibrosis Appeal.

Friday 29th October 2010 - Sheffield Wednesday Fans 4-1 Sheffield United Fans - Charity was St Luke's Hospice.

Thursday 26th May 2011 - Sheffield United Fans 0-5 Sheffield Wednesday Fans - Charity was Amy's Retreat.
