Preparations underway
Everyone at the Sheffield Fans Derby are eagerly getting preparations underway to host the 17th instalment of the annual Charity football match which is due to take place in early 2022. We hope to be able to confirm dates and start the selection process for the two teams over the coming months.

Having been unable to host the event in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic has meant our Charity, Sheffield Hospitals Charity, have been without the money that would have been raised from the two events which could have been anything between 10 and 20 thousand pounds. With that in mind we are working tirelessly to make this coming event the biggest and best we have ever staged in the hopes we can smash through our previous record breaking event amount.

We are once again looking for sponsors to get involved in the event with packages such as (but not limited to) Event sponsor, Programme sponsor, Matchball sponsor, MOTM sponsor and Trophy sponsor.

Iain Atkins “We have all missed the social aspect, the competitive aspect and being able to come together and attend events that make a difference to local Charities over the last 14 or so months. While we are not out of the woods in regards to COVID-19 on the global scale we as a country are making positive progress towards being able to do the things we enjoy without so many restrictions. During this time charities across the country have really struggled especially with their income being hit through the larger scale events which would have taken place. We are delighted to be able to once again start working on the next event with a real prospect of being able to stage it in early 2022.”
