Hillsborough Stadium hosts SFD19

We are really excited to announce that Hillsborough stadium, the home of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club will host the nineteenth Sheffield Fans Derby. This is the first time that the event will be hosted in S6 in our sixteenth year as we target breaking through the 100k overall figure of monies raised between our nineteen Charities.

Hillsborough stadium was opened in 1899 and has hosted World Cup football (1966) and European Championship football in 1996. The stadium capacity currently sits at just under thirty five thousand and most recently played host last season to Play-Off Final’s history when Sheffield Wednesday overturned a four-nil deficit against Peterborough.

For SFD19 the South Stand will be open to spectators and participants will be able to experience the full SFD footballing experience.
